the fine print, in plain words
Terms of Service
Last updated 26 October 2026. These terms cover the Arthize website (arthize.com) and the hosted Arthize workspace (app.arthize.com).
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Arthize you agree to these terms. If you use Arthize on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are allowed to bind that company. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. What Arthize is
Arthize is a hosted workspace for working with PDFs: merging, splitting, compressing, converting, OCR, redacting, signing and related tools. The tools run on our servers; you use them through your browser. We may add, change or retire individual tools as the product develops.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for your account, the accuracy of your email address and everything done with your credentials. Keep your password safe. Tell us immediately at support@arthize.com if you believe someone else is using your account. One person or company per account; do not share accounts or resell access.
4. Plans, billing and cancellation
Arthize offers a free tier, paid subscriptions (monthly or annual) and a one-time lifetime plan. Payments are processed by Creem, which acts as the merchant of record: Creem handles the payment, the tax invoice and the refund transaction. Prices are shown at checkout and the price displayed when you buy is the price that applies to your purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically for the period you selected until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings, from the customer portal link in your Creem receipt email, or by writing to support@arthize.com. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. Lifetime purchases are one-time payments and do not renew.
Sales are final, except where a refund is required by applicable law (for example statutory withdrawal rights in the EU or UK) or is granted by Creem as merchant of record under its buyer terms. Try the free tier before upgrading.
5. Your files and your content
You keep ownership of every file you upload and every document you create. You grant Arthize the limited licence needed to process, store and deliver your files so the tools can work. You are responsible for having the rights to the files you upload and for complying with the acceptable use rules below. Uploaded files are processed for the job you requested and deleted from the workspace after processing, as described in our privacy policy.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use Arthize to:
- upload or process content you do not have the rights to use;
- process illegal material, including content that sexualises minors;
- infringe copyright, trademarks or other third-party rights;
- distribute malware, phishing material or fraudulent documents;
- attack, overload, reverse engineer or circumvent the service or its limits;
- resell or white-label the service without our written permission.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these rules. Where a breach involves illegal material we may report it to the authorities.
7. Intellectual property
Arthize, its name, logo, website and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not give you any right to our branding or software beyond the right to use the service as described here.
8. Availability and liability
We work hard to keep Arthize available, but the service is provided as is and as available, without warranties to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Termination
You can stop using Arthize and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these terms, for non-payment, or where required by law. On termination you can export your files during the period described in the privacy policy.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the current version always lives on this page, and material changes are announced by email to account holders. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes consumer rights you have under the mandatory law of your country of residence.
11. Contact
